Q: Can a Landlord Rent and Sell at the Same Time?
Can I rent and sell my rental property at the same time?
A: Yes, you can although it is important that you give your tenant plenty of notice (at least 24 hours) so they can have the option to be there during the viewing.
This should be done through written notification giving them a date and time of all potential viewings. By informing them by letter (and sending this by recorded delivery), your tenant cannot dispute that they were unaware of the viewing and refuse to let yourself, your estate agent and the buyer in.
